(Marriage - 14 JUN 1926) A pretty wedding
was solemnized at Black River Falls, Wis. Monday, June 14, 1926,
when Miss Cecilia Marie Weix, daughter of Mrs. Cecilia Weix, became
the bride of Mr. Edward A. Braun of Athens, Wis. Rev. Braun, cousin
of the groom, pronounced the ceremony in a most impressive manner.
Emil Weix, brother of the bride, acted as best man, and Miss Irene
Braun, sister of the groom, acted as bridesmaid. A wedding
breakfast was served at the home of Father Braun. The bride was
beautifully gowned in a dress of boisde rose georgette crepe and
carried a bouquet of roses. The bridesmaid wore an orchid beaded
dress and carried a bouquet of tea roses. The newly married
couple left on a honeymoon to Southern Wisconsin, Illinois, Iowa
and Minnesota, after which they will be at home at Athens, where
the groom is a member of the firm Braun, Bus & Co. The bride is well
known to the people of Colby, Wis. and vicinity and needs no
introduction. She was born here and has the respect and esteem of
all. She will be missed from social and church circles, where she
has taken an active part. Mr. Braun, while a resident in our
neighboring city, is considered one of the substantial young men of
Athens. © Every submission is protected by the Digital Millennium Copyright Act
