Mr. M. O. Ronayne, of Burlington, Iowa, an experienced newspaper man and one of the best job workmen in the State, will take the position of foreman in the Republican and Press office next week. He has the reputation of a first-class localist, and we expect with his assistance to make our paper equal to the best in the state.
GREENWOOD: Miss Alice Darton was in town last Saturday.
Mr. Jay McMahon was home from camp, Christmas.
L. M. Sturdevant was a guest at the Bailey house last week.
Miss Gertie Warner is in town calling on her many friends.
The many friends of Miss Grace Frood enjoy seeing her here again.
A. S. Eaton returned from his business north, and is very sick. Miss Viola is home from the Falls for a vacation. The family could not attend the annual family re-union at B. E. Brown’s, of Augusta.
Mr. H. M. Root acted the darky complete and Dolphe McMahon the dude at the masquerade. There were many rich costumes, good music and supper. It was an evening that will be long remembered by all the participants.
