C. B. Withee left yesterday for Dubuque, Iowa, where he will enter in the employ of linsay & Phelps, the lumbermen.

Chris Ebbe has taken possession of the County poor farm, and Mr. Lyman Morse has returned to his farm in the town of Weston.

Henry Reidel called Tuesday at our office to shake with the folks before departing for Rock Run where he will assist in rolling logs.

Jesse Lowe carries a black eye. A horse he was driving tried to shake hands with him over the dashboard of the cutter and reached too high.

Will Boone came down from the town of Eaton, last Friday, and reports that the farmers in that section have commenced to stack their spring plowing already.
