Again the soft brained youths congregate on the street corners to pass remarks as the ladies have occasion to go by.

Geo. Wilson, who now hails from Duluth, is in the city looking after business matters. He reports the "Zenith city of the unsalted seas" booming.

Robt. Hoobler who has been in jail the past three weeks on the charge of burning Mrs. Burge’s house, is now, since his confession, let out on bail.

Mr. J. L. Gates came into the city, Monday evening, from his new home in Milwaukee. His business will compel him to make frequent visits to his old home.

Next Thursday, May 5th, the Corner Stone of St. Mary’s new Catholic School will be solemnly laid. Rev. Father Collins of Eau Claire will deliver an English address, and Rev. Father Babinsky of Cleveland a German Sermon. The building will be sufficiently large to enable the School Sisters to have rooms on the upper floor, and will cost about $2,000. The ceremonies next Thursday will begin at 9 o’clock.
