The manager of the gates at Dells Dam says he don’t care a cuss how many people come down there fishing but he has "raw hides" for a few of our boys who visited that place recently.
Ad. Kimball laid on our table an egg –now, don’t cackle-which measured eight inches around one way and six and a half inches the other way. The hen which dropped it has a right to cackle.
Sunday was a warm, balmy day, but the demon of the storm broke loose in the evening and with the winds raised particular thunder. A barn belonging to Mrs. Reed, about two miles east of town was unroofed, and the fences around the fair grounds were leveled.
D. McKenzie is prepared to furnish Ice Cream to all parties who May wish it and deliver it free to any part of the city. He wats it distinctly understood that his ice cream is made of pure cream, and that cornstarch or other adulterating articles are not used in making it.
