(9 Jul 1848 - 25 Apr 1928) Funeral services
for Arlando E. Stall, whose death was chronicled in this paper last
week, were held at the home of his daughter, Mrs. C. W. Schelling,
Rev. Durnham officiating, Friday, April 27, 1928, and interment was
made in the Colby Cemetery. The deceased was
born July 9, 1848 at Fostoria Seneca, Ohio, and died at 1:30 p.m.,
April 25, 1928, at the age of 79 years, 10 months and 16 days,
leakage of the heart and complications being the cause of his
departure to the distant shore. He was married to Emma E. Wallace
at Marshalltown, Iowa, Jan. 1, 1874, and is survived by his wife
and two children, Arland V. Stall and Mrs. C. W. Schelling. He went to Mt.
Vernon, Iowa at the age of seven years, after his mother passed
away, and lived with relatives and friends until his father
returned from the Civil War. His father then married again and the
family moved to Marchallo Co., Iowa, where they lived for three
years and then went to Gundy Co., Iowa, where they purchased a farm
and lived until 1921, when they moved to Wisconsin. Nineteen years ago
he joined the U. B. Church and was active in church work when
health permitted. He was of a
cheerful nature and enjoyed life. He was loved and respected by all
who knew him and made many friends who extend sympathy to the
mourners. © Every submission is protected by the Digital Millennium Copyright Act
