County, Wis., died suddenly March 13, 1929, after an illness of two
weeks, anemic coma being the cause of his departure to the distant

U. S. in 1879 and lived in Dodge Co., Wis. until 1882, when he
moved to the town of Colby, where he settled on a piece of land,
which still was a forest, and by hard work and privations, built a
splendid farm. He was married to Bertha Laux, who still survives
him, May 6, 1884, in the town of Herman, Sheboygan co., to which
union six children were born, three of who are still living,
namely: Mrs. Otto Dins, Fred Schumann and Mrs. Edwin Frome, all of
Colby, Wis. The out of town
people here for the funeral were Miss Emily Giese, Medford, Wis.;
Mr. and Mrs. David Laux and Mr. Peter Laux of Kiel, Wis.; Mrs.
Herman Gosse and Mrs. Henry Bender, Sheboygan; Mrs. Wm. Olm,
Cleveland, Wis.; Mrs. Charlie Olm, Marshfield. Mr. Schumann was a

elder, and also performed different duties of the congregation for
a number of years. He also acted as supervisor for the town of
Colby for a number of terms. He was a man of excellent habits, fine
moral character and had the respect and esteem of a wide circle of
friends. © Every submission is protected by the Digital Millennium Copyright Act
