Alfreda Schlichter

Alfreda Adella Schlichter, 80, Fairchild, formerly of Humbird, passed away Wednesday at Black River Falls Memorial Hospital. Alfreda Schlichter, daughter of Alfred and Dorectta Cox Grim, was born July 29, 1904 at Greenwood, WI. She was united in marriage to Lloyd Schlichter on April 25, 1927 at Black River Falls. The couple farmed in the Town of Cleveland, Jackson County for 52 years. They moved to the Village of Fairchild in September of 1984. She had been a member of St. Ann's Altar Society. She is survived by her husband, Lloyd, Fairchild; five daughters, Mildred Staves, Alma Centers, Wi., Janet Hendelman, Atlanta, Ga., Shirely Schierer, Granville, Ill., Sharon Adler, Cumberland, Wi., Kathryn Studebaker, Wautoma, WI; one step daughter, Frances Peterson, Blue Rivers, Wi.; four sisters, Florence Roth, Augusta, Amy Engedahl, Eau Claire, Irene Rosebaum, Strum, Lulu Bickford, Mauston; one brother, Leroy Grim Albuquerque, NM; 22 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one step daughter, Hildegarde Torsch and by two sisters, Iola Benner and Elva Manshell.
