MRS. EDA THUR Funeral services for Mrs. Eda Thur, who died at Memorial Hospital in Neillsville on April 26, 1968 , were held at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Fairchild at 1:00 p.m. April 29th with the Rev. Merlin Sasman officiating. Interment was in the Fairchild Cemetery. Eda Neumann, daughter of Theodore and Mathilda Bramer Neumann, was born on April 20, 1883 in the Town of Cleveland, and was baptized at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Fairchild, where she was also confirmed on January 23, 1989 by the Rev. B. F. Laukandt. She was united in marriage to Robert Thur on May 5, 1904 in the same church in which she had been baptized and confirmed. Mr. and Mrs. Thur farmed in the Town of Cleveland until 1953 when they moved to Fairchild. Mr. Thur died in April of 1963. Mrs. Thur had made her home with her daughter Mrs. Arthur Gerth and family of Route One Fairchild for the past several years. On Apri8l 23 she was admitted to the Neillsville Memorial Hospital where she died on April 26th at the age of 85 years and six days. She is survived by two sons: Edwin of Eau Claire and Harold of Fairchild; one daughter Mrs. Arthur Gerth; four grandchildren; one brother Arthur Neumann of Chippewa Falls and two sisters: Mrs. Bertha Bednark & Miss Tilli Neumann, both of Eau Claire.
