MRS. HELEN LAHN Funeral services for Mrs. Helen Lahn, who died at Luther Hospital, January 23, 1961, were held at St. Paul's Lutheran Church at Fairchild Thursday, January 26th, with the Rev. E. G. Collins officiating. Burial was in the Town of Cleveland Cemetery. Helen Maria Frank, daughter of Ludwig and Sophie Frank, was born at Fairchild on May 22, 1870. She was confirmed in Augusta by the Rev. H. F. Proehl on March 22, 1885. On December 27, 1889 she was married to Frederick Lahn, and they were the parents of seven children, four sons and three daughters. One daughter, Emma died at the age of three years. Mr. and Mrs. Lahn lived the first years of their married life in Fairchild; then they purchased a farm west of Fairchild, where they lived until the fall of 1919, when they moved to Fairchild. Mr. Lahn preceded her in death on April 21, 1944. Mrs. Lahn had maintained her own home in Fairchild until 1958. Since that time she has made her home with her daughters. On Friday, Jan. 13th she was admitted to Luther Hospital, where she died Monday, Jan. 23 at the age of 90 years, eight months and one day. She is survived by four sons, Albert, Battle Creek, Mich., Emil and Carl of Fairchild, and George of Albion, Mich., two daughters. Mrs. Arthur Erdman of Augusta and Hild, Mrs. W. M. Barr of Colby; one brother, George Frank of Merrillan; 25 grandchildren and 49 great grandchildren. Among those from away who attended the funeral were: Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Bremel of Silver Bay, Minn., Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Erdman and family of Lancaster; Mr. and Mrs. George Lahn of Albion, Mich.; Albert Lahn, son William, daughter, Theresa, and son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Donald Ratson of Battle Creek, Mich.; John Steilman, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Stellman, Mr. and Mrs. John Franck and family and Mr. and Mrs. Otto Bramer of Eau Claire; Mr. and Mrs. Harold Frank of Merrillan; Mr. and Mrs. W.M. Barr, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Barr of Colby, Mr. and Mrs. Morris Thompson of Tomahawk, and Miss Wanda Lahn of Los Angeles, Calif.
