(Marriage - 27 JUN 1928) A very pretty and
interesting wedding was solemnized at 3:30 o'clock Wednesday
afternoon, June 27, 1928, when Miss Edna Mandel, daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Ernst Mandel, became the bride of Mr. Albert Dins, son of
Mr. and Mrs. Fred Dins. Miss Malinda
Schultz acted as the maid of honor and Miss Leona Laack was
bridesmaid. The groom was attended by Rod H. Markus and Harry
Mandel. Little Leonard Wiersig acted as ring bearers and the flower
girl, Leona Staffeil, carried a basket of mixed flowers. The bride wore a
beautiful dress of pink georgette with veil and carried a lovely
bouquet of roses and sweet peas. The maid of honor wore a dress of
peach georgette and carried a bouquet of white and pink carnations.
The bridesmaid wore a dress of carrol georgette and also carried a
bouquet of white and pink carnations. Immediately after
the marriage ceremony, the bridal party repaired to the home of the
bride's parents, where a wedding reception was held. The home was
nicely decorated with pink and white streamers, ferns and cut
flowers for the occasion. In the evening, a
free wedding dance was given at Wiedenhoeft's park, which was
largely attended by friends and relatives. The out of town
guests who were here for the occasion were: Mrs. Richard Kademan of
Sheboygan Falls and Mrs. Francis Sebald and children of Sheboygan
Falls, Mr. and Mrs. F. W. Wilsmann of Neillsville, Mr. and Mrs. Ed
Sixel of Little Chicago, and Mrs. Dave Mandel and son of Loyal. The bride and
groom are both too well known to need any introduction to the
people of Colby, Wis. and vicinity, and it is a pleasure to
chronicle the marriage of such worthy young people and we join
their many friends in extending congratulations. © Every submission is protected by the Digital Millennium Copyright Act
