(Marriage - 28 Jul 1928) A pretty wedding

of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Schmike, Rev. Lachnit reading the marriage
ceremony. Miss Helen Fecker was bridesmaid and Miss Ruth Fuhrman
maid of honor. The groom was attended by Ray Schmike and Harry
Fecker. The bride wore a
beautiful dress of white crepe back satin in bouffant style with
tiered skirt of silk lace set with rhinestones, and also veil with
wreath and carried a beautiful shower bouquet of roses, carnations
and sweet peas. The bridesmaid wore a dress of pink taffeta in
bouffant style, with silk net flounce and carried a corsage bouquet
of snapdragons and sweet peas. The maid of honor wore a dress of
orchid taffeta in bouffant style with silk lace flounce and carried
a bouquet of snapdragons and sweet peas. Immediately after
the marriage ceremony, the bridal party repaired to the home of the
bride's parents, where a wedding reception was held. The home was
nicely decorated in pink and white and with orchids for the
occasion. In the evening, a
free wedding dance was given at Wiedenhoeft's park, which was
largely attended by friends and relatives. The newlyweds will
be at home after Nov. 1st at New London, Wis., where the groom is
