(Marriage - 27 OCT 1928) A very quiet
wedding took place last Saturday, Oct. 27, 1928, when Miss Irene
Lillian Delvis, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Delvis, became the
bride of John William Parr, son of Mr. and Mrs. Royal Parr of
Curtiss, Clark County, Wis. The marriage ceremony took place at the
home of the bride's parents. Rev. J. A. Olson of Unity read the
marriage ceremony. Miss Alice Delvis acted as bridesmaid and the
groom was attended by Oleus Anderson. The bride was
attired in a beautiful dress of brown satin and georgette crepe
silk and carried a bouquet of roses. The bridesmaid wore a dress of
tan georgette crepe and also carried a bouquet of roses. A reception was
given at the Delvis home for near relatives only, the home being
nicely decorated with blue and pink crepe paper and roses for the
occasion. The newlyweds left
for St. Paul on a wedding trip and will be at home after Nov. 12,
1928, at the groom's farm at Curtiss, Wis. The bride is well
known to the people of Colby and her many friends extend
congratulations. © Every submission is protected by the Digital Millennium Copyright Act
