(Marriage - 5 Sep 1929) A very pretty
wedding took place at the St. John's Evangelical Church last
Thursday, Sept. 5, 1929, Rev. R. E. Schwarze reading the marriage
ceremony, when Miss Martha Joan Lube, daughter of Mrs. Mary Lube,
became the bride of Riley Neuman, son of Mrs. Arthur Neuman. Miss
Verna Lube and Miss Roma Neuman acted as bridesmaids and Miss Leona
Lube, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. The groom was
attended by his cousin, Orland Lueloff. The bride was
attired in a very beautiful dress of pale yellow georgette with
veil and carried a bouquet of roses and babies breath. Miss Verna
Lube wore a dress of pale green crepe and carried a bouquet of
carnations and verbenas. Miss Roma Neuman wore a dress of pastel
pink georgette and also carried a bouquet of carnations and
verbenas. Miss Leona Lube wore a dress of green georgette and
carried a bouquet of carnations and verbenas. Immediately after
the marriage ceremony, the bridal party repaired to the Lukowicz
studio, where they had their picture taken and the wedding dinner
was served at the home of the bride's mother, the home being nicely
decorated with crepe paper of rainbow colors for the occasion. In
the evening, a free wedding dance was given at Wiedenhoeft's park,
which was largely attended. The newlyweds will
make their home on the Ernest Schultz farm four miles west of
Colby, Wis. Both the bride and
groom are well and favorably known and have many friends who extend
congratulations and best wishes. © Every submission is protected by the Digital Millennium Copyright Act
