JAN 1848 - 16 Mar 1911) Mr. Knud Larsen,
on of Clark County, Wisconsin's pioneers, died Thursday, March 16,
1911 of Bright's Disease, aged 63 years. Mr. Larsen came to
this country about 28 years ago and bought land and made for
himself and family a comfortable home about 6 1/2 miles southwest
of Withee, Clark County, Wis., where he lived at the time of his
death. The deceased was a
man of good character, honorable and upright in all his dealing. He
was chairman of the town of Longwood for a number of years, which
office he held at the time of his death. Mr. Larsen is
survived by a wife and five children to mourn his death. The funeral was
held Sunday afternoon, a short prayer at the home, and from there
the body was taken to the Danish church, where a large number of
friends and neighbors gathered to pay their last tribute to their
departed friend. Services were
conducted by Rev. Cook of Owen and Rev. Jensen of Withee, interment
