SENTINEL (Withee, Clark County, Wis.) 10/20/1911 Roth, Mayo
(Marriage - 17 OCT 1911) A very pretty
wedding took place at 9 a.m. Oct. 17, 1911, from St. Bernard's
Catholic Church, in the presence of a large circle of friends. Rev.
A. Arentz spoke the words which made Louis P. Walsdorf and Miss
Mayo Roth man and wife. The bride was gowned in a beautiful cream
satin messaline, and was attended by her close friend, Miss
Catherine Phillippi, as bridesmaid, of Colby, and the groom wore
conventional black, his brother Joe Walsdorf, acting as best man.
Following the ceremony a wedding breakfast took place at the home
of the bride's parents. Mr. Louis Wolsdorf
is a bright and promising young man and is employed in the hardware
store. He has made Thorp, Clark county his home for many years and
has gained a large circle of friends. The bride is the
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Roth, a charming and talented young
lady, and needs no introduction tot he people of Withee, she having
been one of the successful teachers in our village schools for the
past five eyars, and has endeared herself to a large circle of
friends, both young and old. They passed through our village
Tuesday noon on their wedding trip to Milwaukee and Chicago. After
Nov. 1st they will be at home to their many friends in Thorp, where
he has already a home furnished to receive his bride. © Every submission is protected by the Digital Millennium Copyright Act
