Brandt, August, Sr. (28 Apr 1842 - 11 JUN 1912)
Mr. August Brandt, Sr., one of Clark County, Wisconsin's old pioneers, passed away Tuesday night at 12 o'clock, June 11, 1912, at his farm home two miles west of the village (Withee, Clark County, Wis.). Mr. Brandt had seemed to be in excellent health up until noon, when he was taken suddenly ill. August Brandt, Sr. was born at Yunton, Germany, April 28, 1842, and at the age of 47 he came to this country and settle at Glenwood City, Wis. After living at that city for some time he moved to this village with his family and remained until the last. Those from out of town who attended the funeral were, Mr. Fred Brandt of Chicago, Mrs. Charles Bokath of Merrill.
