ENTERPRISE (Owen, Clark County, Wis.) 01/21/1916 Hoeper, Fred
(1867? - 17 Jan 1916) Fred Hoeper, a
resident of this place (Owen, Clark County, Wis.) for the past two
years and a half, passed away at his home Monday after an illness
extending for a period of about three months. The deceased was 48
years of age, and came to this place from Phlox, Wis., and up until
the beginning of his illness he had been in the employ of the J. S.
Owen Lumber Co. He leaves to mourn a wife and nine children, the
eldest being 21 years and the youngest two, seven boys and two
daughters, all of who were home at the time of his death. Funeral
services were held yesterday afternoon from the home, Rev. W. H.
Sargent officiating. Burial took place in the Riverside
Cemetery. Those from away
who came to attend the funeral were: Will Hoeper of Menasha, a
brother; and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Kurtz of Abbotsford, the former
being a sister; Mrs. Charles Drews of Arlington Heights, Ill.; Mrs.
Jess Dilts of Hammond, Ind.; Mrs. A. J. Schenke of Chicago. The bereaved
