ENTERPRISE (Owen, Clark County, Wis.) 11/17/1916 Allen, Beatrice
(Marriage - 11 NOV 1916) Saturday morning
at 9:45 Mrs. Beatrice Allen and Mr. Guy D. Hill were quietly
married at the home of the bride's sister, Mrs. E. F. Crane, the
Rev. Sargent officiating. The house was
prettily decorated with yellow chrysanthemums and smilax and a
wedding breakfast was served immediately after the ceremony; after
which Mr. and Mrs. Hill left on No. 1 for Minneapolis. They will be at
home Dec. first in Stanley, which will be their future home. Mr.
Hill is manager of the electric light and power plant and the
telephone co. of that place. Mrs. Allen has
spent the larger portion of the past eighteen months in Owen, Clark
County, Wis. and has become well acquainted here. Her own circle of
friends will very much miss here. Many farewell
parties were given for her and a shower, at which she received many
beautiful tokens of regard. Mr. Hill has been
for several years, located in Stanley, having taken his present
position there immediately upon return from the cruise around the
world, of the U. S. fleet, at which time he was chief electrician
for Uncle Sam on the battleship Michigan. He is a college graduate,
also a graduate of New York Technical School and his friends
entertain many bright hopes for his future. © Every submission is protected by the Digital Millennium Copyright Act
