(Marriage - 15 Mar 1917) At the home of the
bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Peter Westergaard, occurred the
marriage of their daughter, Miss Ella, to Mr. Ben Machlett of
Curtiss, Clark County, Wis., on Thursday evening, March 15, 1917,
at seven o'clock, Rev. W. H. Sargent officiating. The young couple
was attended by Miss Agnes Westergaard, sister of the bride, and
Mr. Wm. Hummel of Curtiss as groomsman. The bride wore a
beautiful taffeta dress trimmed with silver lace and pearls and the
groom wore the conventional black. The bridesmaid wore a dress of
messaline trimmed with gold lace. The bride carried
a beautiful bouquet of white roses and the bridesmaid a bouquet of
pink roses, the table decorations being carnations. The young
couple received many beautiful and useful gifts. After the ceremony
a bounteous wedding supper was served to the following guests: Mr.
and Mrs. Henry Machlett, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Machlett, Mr. and Mrs.
Peter Westergaard, Mr.a nd Mrs. Chris Johnson, Mr. and Mrs. H. C.
Madsen, Mr. and Mrs. J. P. Hansen, Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Smith, Mr.
and Mrs. Peter Mortenson, Mr. and Mrs. Julius Westergaard, Miss
Myrtle Jensen, Ervine Westergaard, Henry Machlett, Evelyn Hopkins
and Lawrence Cox. Mr. and Mrs.
Machlett will go to housekeeping at Curtiss, where the groom has a
set of rooms already furnished, he being a member of the firm of H.
Machlett & Sons, hardware merchants in that village. A host of
