Priebe, Susan Maureen (Engagement - 1980)
Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Priebe, Saginaw, Michigan, recently announced the engagement of
their daughter, Susan Maureen, to the Rev. Thomas Lindloff, son of the Rev. and
Mrs. Norman Lindloff, Neillsville.
Susan is a graduate of Michigan Lutheran Seminary, Saginaw, Michigan, and Dr.
Martin Luther College, New Ulm, Minnesota. She is presently a physical education
and art teacher at Winnebago Lutheran Academy, Fond du Lac.
Thomas is a graduate of Northwestern Preparatory School and north Western
College, Watertown. He is also a graduate of Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary,
Mequon. He is presently an instructor and coach at Martin Luther Preparatory
School, Prairie du Chien. After this school year he will accept a call into the
parish ministry of the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod.
A June 28 Wedding is being planned in Saginaw.

Susan M. Priebe and the Rev. Thomas Lindloff were united in marriage June 28, in
Saginaw, Michigan. Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Priebe, Saginaw,
Michigan and the Rev. and Mrs. Norman W. Lindloff, West Fifth St., Neillsville.
The 4:00 p.m. services at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church allowed the father of the
bride to present his daughter in marriage.
Music was provided by Stephanie Lindloff, Forest Lake, Minnesota, sister-in-law
of the groom, on the organ and the congregation singing “O, Bless the House
Whate’er Befall” and “Be With Them, God, the Father.”
Serving as speaker was the Rev. James Lindloff, Forest Lake, Minnesota, brother
of the groom. The officiant was the Rev. Forest Bivens, Saginaw.
Serving as matron of honor was Joann Hart, Saginaw, friend of the bride. She was
joined by Carol Conger, Saginaw; Virginia Engel, Milwaukee; and Patricia Stern,
Plymouth, Minnesota.
Serving as bestman was Timothy Lindloff, Neillsville, brother of the groom, He
was joined by the Rev. Gregory Gibbons, West Bend; The Rev. Jonathan Schultz,
Boulder, Colorado; and the Rev. James Frey, Hart, Michigan. Ushering were Philip
Mischke, Milwaukee, and the Rev. Richard Starr, Columbus, Ohio.
A dinner and reception was held at Das Michigan Haus. Special prayers at the
reception were offered by the Rev. Carl Mischke, Milwaukee, uncle of the groom
and president of the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod. This was followed by
a program led by the brothers of the groom.
The bride is a graduate of Michigan Lutheran Seminary in Saginaw and also of Dr.
Martin Luther College, New Ulm, Minnesota. She has been teaching physical
education and art at Winnebago Lutheran Academy, Fond du Lac. The groom received
his preministry training at Northwestern Preparatory School, and Northwestern
College, Watertown. He received his Master of Divinity degree from Wisconsin
Lutheran Seminary, Mequon. Pastor Lindloff was ordained into the ministry by his
father at Martin Luther Preparatory School, Prairie du Chien, where he has been
teaching ancient history and coaching for the past two years.
After a trip to Niagara Falls and Canada the couple will make their home in
Aurora, Nebraska, where Pastor Lindloff has accepted a call to serve First
Lutheran Church.
