ENTERPRISE (Owen, Clark County, Wis.) 07/13/1918 Royer, Ida J. (8
DEC 1850 - 8 Jul 1918) Mrs. W. G. Royer,
nee Ida Jane Gardner, died on Monday afternoon, July 8, 1918, at
her home in this city (Owen, Clark County, Wis.). She was born Dec.
8, 1850, and in the year 1877 married W. G. Royer. Twenty-seven
years ago Mr. and Mrs. Royer moved to this city and since that time
have made this their home. For the past two weeks she has been
failing in health and on Monday afternoon a change came Which
weakened her so much that she passed away about six o'clock. She is
survived by a husband and two daughters, Mrs. J. C. Andrews of this
city and Mrs. Chichester OF Chippewa Falls. Mrs. Royer was a woman
of unusual qualities of mind and heart, admired by a large circle
of friends in this community. Those who have known her as a wife
and a mother testify to the splendid maturity of which her life
gave promise. Her untimely death causes sadness to many hearts in
this community. Funeral services
were held Thursday at the St. Katherine's Mission, where a large
number of friends gather to pay their last sad rites to the
departed one. Rev. Charles Linley of Christ Church, Eau Claire,
officiated. Interment was made in the Riverside Cemetery. Those from away
who attended the funeral were: Mr. and Mrs. Chichester of Chippewa
Falls, and son John of Great Lakes, Ill., and Mr. and Mrs.
Wrigglesworth of Eau Claire. The bereaved
family is indeed grateful to the neighbors and friends who assisted
them and extended sympathy during their time of trouble. © Every submission is protected by the Digital Millennium Copyright Act
