(Marriage - 18 NOV 1919) A pretty wedding
was solemnized at the catholic Church at Withee, Clark County,
Wis., at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 18, 1919. Miss Doris
Richelieu, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Martin Richelieu, was married
to Felix Michkowski at St. Bernard's Church at Withee. Miss Margaret
Richelieu, sister of the bride, acted as bridesmaid, and Julius
Michkowski, brother of the groom, acted as his best man. The office
of flower girl was ably fulfilled by little Elizabeth
Michkowski. The marriage
ceremony was performed by Rev. S. P. Michkowski, a brother of the
groom. He was assisted by Rev. Joseph Schuster, pastor of St.
Bernard's Congregation. The ceremonies were opened by Lohengrin's
Wedding March, rendered by Mrs. V. D. Merriman. The marriage
ceremony was followed by High Mass sung by Rev. S. P. Michkowski.
Special music and singing was rendered during the mass by Mrs. V.
D. Merriman, Mrs. P. J. Abler and Mrs. Charles Larson. The church was
well filled by a large number of friends and relatives of the
bridal couple. After the
impressive ceremonies the bridal couple, accompanied by their
relatives and a host of friends, traveled to the bride's home,
where a sumptuous dinner and supper was served by Mr. and Mrs.
Martin Richelieu. A pleasant after
noon was enjoyed by all the guests of the young couple. The lsit of
guests comprise Mr. and Mrs. Walter Acker of Greenwood, Mr. and
Mrs. Albert Zenzel, Mrs. F. Michkowski, mother of the groom, Rev.
S. P. Michkowski, Stanley, and Mary Michkowski, Mr. and Mrs. Abler,
Mr. and Mrs. Roland Haire and Mr. and Mrs. Virch. The bride wore a
dress of white charmeuse with all over embroidered georgette crepe
and veil. She carried a shower bouquet of roses. The bridesmaid was
attired in pale blue crepe de chine and wore a
picture…(couldn't read)…and carnations. The little
flower girl wore a dress of blue silk. She carried a bouquet of
carnations. The groom was
attired in French blue serge. His best man was attired
