Conrad, William (? - 17 Sep 1920)

William Conrad, a resident of Abbotsford, Wis., committed suicide last Friday morning at about nine o'clock, by hanging himself in his barn at the rear of his home. His body was discovered by his wife who went to call him to breakfast. Deceased was the proprietor of a saloon in that village, which he had conducted for the past year or more.

Before locating at Abbotsford, Mr. Conrad was a resident of the village of Withee, Clark County, Wis., where he conducted a saloon for nine years, and was well and favorably known. What cause this rash act cannot be stated by his relatives and friends, except that through mourning for his nine year old daughter, who passed away some weeks ago.

He leaves to mourn a wife and three children, and an aged mother, all of whom have the sympathy of a large number of friends in both Withee and Abbotsford. Funeral services were held on Tuesday afternoon and burial made in the Abbotsford Cemetery.
