Ammentorp, William (Feb 1897 - 18 Jul 1921)
William Ammentorp, aged 24 years and six months, son of Mr. and Mrs. K. J. Ammentorp, residing two miles south of the village of Withee, Clark County, Wis., passed away Monday morning about 5 o'clock of pulmonary tuberculosis, after an illness at home of about ten weeks. He contracted the disease while in the army following an attack of influenza from which he never fully recovered.
After being discharged from the service he went to Detroit where he was engaged in the automobile shops and there remained until he had to leave his work to come home because of failing health. He was a young man who spent his boyhood days in this vicinity, graduating from the Mody School several years ago, and was well though of by his acquaintances.
He leaves to mourn his parents, three brothers, George, Aluf and Emil, and one sister, Marie, all of who were home to attend the funeral, services being held from the Danish Lutheran Church Wednesday afternoon, with Rev. J. L. Dixon officiating. Burial was made in the church cemetery.
