A PRESS representative has been informed that Harrison Lowery is buying up all the cabbages, pumpkins and squash he can secure for his logging camps near Medford.

Mrs. Louis Weaver died of old age November 29th, at the home of her son Alvin Weaver in this city. Funeral services were held on Saturday from the residency by Rev. Foster.

H. Enckhansen, of Sparta, who will open a drug store int his city shortly, arrived yesterday to see how his new quarters were progressing, and to make arrangements to move his family here soon.

Albert Calway and bride, of Clinton, Rock county, are visiting with his parents. It was quite a surprise to most of our citizens to see Albert alight from the train on Friday morning with a young lady on his arm and to know that he had taken to himself a better half, as but few people in this city, his former home, knew of his marriage. His venture in the newspaper business in Clinton has proven more of a success than he at first anticipated, as besides making money since he has been there he has secured a life partner. Success, Albert.

A girl named Lizzie Pagle mysteriously disappeared last Wednesday evening, and her parents are searching for her as we go to press. She is about seventeen years old, a pupil in the Medford High School, and a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Pagle, who live northwest of this city, about a mile north of "the castle". While attending school she has been stopping with a sister who lives in town and Wednesday evening she left her sister’s home saying that she was "going home". Since then no trace of her has been found. (Medford Star)
