Born to Mr. and Mrs. George Lippert a 14 pound son, Thursday. This is only the twelfth child George has to cut sausage for. (Vickie adds - Good Lord, poor woman!))
Mr. and Mrs. C. F. Grow and children, Hallie and Grace, went to Colby Saturday to visit Pa and Ma Wicker, returning Monday.
Mrs. Orson Cornwell who has been dangerously ill for about six weeks, is reported out of danger and recovering, which will be glad tiding to her large circle of friends.
Robert Douglas, an old resident of Melrose, Jackson county, died at his home February 1st and was buried the 4th. He is an uncle of Mrs. Frank Darling of this city.
George W. Ascott of Marshfield, arrived in this city Thursday of last week to take his place in the H. Enckhausen & Co. drug store, of which concern he is now a half owner. He is a very agreeable and pleasing young man, and before the end of leap year we bespeak him as living in a little cottage just large enough for two, if the Neillsville girls are allowed full sway and no Marshfield girl comes sliding in ahead of them by the right of having a prior lien.
