BURGLARS MAKE A HAUL: Sunday night, or early Monday morning Dud. Maines and family, who reside in the town of Pine Valley, west of the river, were aroused from slumber by a peculiar noise as though someone was in the house, and after an investigation they found that such was the case and that they had been robbed of about $40.00 in cash, besides some jewelry and other articles. Three suspicious looking strangers were seen in that neighborhood during the day previous and they were at once suspected. Warrants were sworn out and one of the suspects was arrested and confined in jail to away his examination.
