Loretta (Castner) Eggett
Mrs. George Eggett died at her home, in this village January 28th 1922, at the age of 53 years 9 months 28 days. Several years ago she suffered a slight stroke of paralysis from which she never fully recovered, and Sunday night she had a second stroke and lived but three hours.
Loretta Jane Castner was born in Neillsville, March 28, 1868.
She was a successful schoolteacher for many years both in Wisconsin and Minnesota. On August 7, 1908 (1907?), she was united in marriage to Mr. George Eggett. They lived for a while on a farm west of Loyal and twelve years ago sold their farm and moved near the village. Mrs. Eggett was a kind friend and neighbor and will long be remembered by her acts of kindness to those she loved and those her knew her best.
She leaves to mourn her loss, her husband, one brother Frank Castner of Duluth, four nieces Mrs. Roy Trudeau and Mrs. Frank Lachouski, both of Duluth, Hazel Eggett and Irene Willis of Loyal and one Step-son Fred Eggett of Los Angeles, California, besides a large number of friends. The funeral services were held as the M. E. Church on Wednesday afternoon at 2 o’clock, Rev. Knask officiating. Internment was in the Loyal Cemetery.CARD OF THANKS
