Jensen, J. S. (1884? - 12 Mar 1923)
News of the death of J. S. Jensen was received here last week by Sever Bjornstad, who passed away at Hoquian, Wash. He was a former Owen, Clark County, Wis. young man, and finished his schooling in the Owen schools a number of years ago, and is a relative of Mr. and Mrs. Bjornstad.
A Hoquian paper has the following: "Funeral services for J. S. Jensen, yard foreman at the North Western Mill until his death last Monday, will be held from the Elks Home, Lodge No. 1982, at 2 o'clock tomorrow afternoon. Services will be conducted by Rev. J. W. Beard, using the Elks' ritual. Interment will be in the Hoquian Cemetery.
Mr. Jensen was 38 years old when he died, after a short illness. He had lived in Hoquian 10 years, and belonged to the Knights of Pythias as well as the Elks Lodge. He is survived by his wife, Pearl Jensen; three daughters, Eunice, Loretta and Margaret, a son, Charles; his mother, and two brothers, both of who arrived Wednesday from their homes in California and Saskatchewan, Canada. Funeral arrangements were made by the Pinnick undertaking parlors, where the body is being cared for."
