The remains of Mrs. Marie Bonde, a former resident of the town of Hixon, Clark County, Wis., residing on a farm a mile west of the city, was received here this morning from Long Beach, Cal., where she died Tuesday of last week, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Chris Hansen, former residents, residing southwest of Owen.

Mrs. Bonde suffered a stroke of paralysis and after lingering for about ten days passed away. She sold her place west of the city about five years ago and then went to California, and since then has made trips to Wisconsin for a short visit. Her last stay in California was about a year and a half. She has no relatives living in this country, but her body is being taken care of by Mr. and Mrs. Nels Petersen, Mr. Petersen having lived with her since he was a child until he came of age. Funeral services will be held from the Danish Lutheran Church at Withee Friday afternoon at 2:30. Her husband preceded her in death about twelve years ago, and her remains will be place beside him in the Danish Church Cemetery.
