Douphner, Ruby M. (2 OCT 1903 - 19 Dec 1923)
Ruby Margarette Pete, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Anton Pete, died at the Marshfield Hospital Wednesday, Dec. 19, 1923, of tuberculosis of the lungs, from which she had been a sufferer for the more than eight months. She was born Oct. 2, 1903 at Atlanta, Wis., and at the age of twelve years moved to Owen, Clark County, Wis. with her parents. She was twenty years, two months and seventeen years of age, and was married July 1, 1922 to Mr. Vern Douphner of Withee, Clark County, at St. Paul, Minn. To this union was born one daughter, Evelyn, March 27, this year. She was a young woman, a good mother, and her untimely death has brought sorrow to her relatives and many friends. Besides her husband and daughter, she left to mourn, her parents, two brothers, Robert and William, both of Milwaukee, and one sister, Mrs. Fred Grendehl of Lublin. Funeral services were held from the Catholic Church Saturday morning, and burial took place in the Riverside Cemetery.
