Harshman, Alta (Marriage - 2 Augl 1922)
A pretty home wedding was solemnized Wednesday afternoon at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harshman at Elk Mound, when their daughter, Miss Alta, Became the bride of Mr. Edwin Beck of Owen, Clark County, Wis., the Rev. J. M. Waltz, pastor of the Methodist Church at Forest Center performing the ring ceremony.
The young couple was attended by Boyd Harshman, a brother of the bride and Miss Laura Beck a sister of the groom, and the ceremony was witnessed by about one hundred and fifty of their relatives and friends.
Following the ceremony a wedding dinner was served to the guests, after which Mr. and Mrs. Beck left for an automobile trip through the states of Iowa, Illinois, Michigan and Wisconsin, returning to Owen about Sept. 1st, where they will be at home on the groom's farm three and one-half miles southeast of the city.
Mr. Beck is one of the prominent young farmers of northern Clark County, and has one of the finest farms tributary to Owen, and only success and best wishes for a happy wedded life is the hope of his many friends.
Mrs. Beck is a graduate of the Stout Institute of Menomonie and also of the Eau Claire Normal School, and for the past two years has been teaching near her home She too has a large acquaintance at home and is favorably known here to many who have good wishes for their married life.
The Enterprise joins with their many friends in extending congratulations to the young people.
