Pierce, Marion (Marriage - May 1923)
At a simple but extremely pretty formal home wedding, Miss Marion Pierce, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Pierce and Myran Duncan of Owen, Clark County, Wis., son of Mr. and Mrs. Myran Duncan, Sr., were married at 8 o'clock last evening at the home of the bride's parents by Rev. Arthur E. Westenberg of the Congregational Church. Seventy-five guests, many of them from out of town, were present. Following the serving of light refreshments the young couple left for their wedding journey. They will be at home in Menomonie after July 1st.
Miss Pierce was dressed in white, hand-embroidered net and fillet. She was attended by her sister, Mrs. George Orlady of Mondovi, as matron of honor. Her bouquet was of orchids, and lilies of the valley. Mrs. Orlady's dress was of yellow beaded material and her bouquet was of white sweet peas and ward roses. Mr. Duncan was attended by Robert Pierce, brother of the bride. Miss Jean Orlady, niece of the bride, dressed in pink chiffon, was the flower girl. Miss Pierce was given away by her father.
