Mrs. Dr. Esch, Mrs. Frank Archer, Mrs. Lafe Sturdevant and Gus Kloph and Joe Lowe attended the funeral of Mrs. Nelson Marsh at Granton Tuesday.
County Clerk H. M. Root started for the East on 3rd inst to see his aged parents and acquaintances of his boyhood. He will be joined on his trip, at Chicago by Mrs. Root and Miss Ollie Huntzicker.
Max. Opelt, son-in-law of Chas. Sternitzky, who keeps a general store at Lynn, while delivering goods one day last week, was injured quite badly by having the horse run away with him. The britching straps broke while going down grade and the horse commenced kicking striking him on the knee.
