Circuit Judge Bailey has appointed James Bryden, of Greenwood, W. S. Tufts of Withee, and R. W. Balch of this city , as jury commissioners, according to the provisions of chapter law 156 of 1897.
The populace of this city, is all stirred up with the Alaskian fever. Several letters, giving glowing accounts of the rich gold finds in Alaska, written by parties who have been there, have been received here.
Carl Neverman received a stroke of paralysis Friday last from the effects of which he is now lying in a dangerous condition. This is the second stroke he has received. The first occurred some two or three years ago.
