LONG DISTANCE PHONE: Sufficient local capital has become interested to insure the coming to this place of the long distance telephone, of the Wisconsin Valley Co. The work of construction will begin soon.
ANOTHER RUNAWAY: Wednesday of last week the work team of Mrs. F. D. Lindsay took fright at the approaching train, and made things lively in the neighborhood of the Merchants hotel. A number of school children narrowly escaped injury, as the team ran among them on the sidewalk along which they were walking on their way home from school, but luckily none were hurt. The driver succeeded in regaining control of them before any amount of damage was done.
