The angel of death at 2 o'clock this morning drew from out midst one of the most honored citizens of Owen, Clark County, Wis., which marked the passing of the life of George Frank Bolman, who for the past three and one-half years has been in failing health. His death came pleasantly as he passed into the eternal sleep, for more than six hours he had been in an unconscious condition.

Frank Bolman, as he was known to his friends, was sixty-nine years of age, and came to Owen twenty-six years ago, as an employee of the John S. Owen Lumber Co. He came here from Drummond, Wis., where he had been previously employed, and since his employment here he has held his one position as chief machinist, with the exception of three and a half years which he spent in Eau Claire, going there in the spring of 1914. After returning here he accepted his former position, which he held until he was unable to attend to his labors, which was the forepart of this summer.

During his early residence here, he was a member of the school board, acting in that capacity for more than nine years, and when the village was incorporated he was elected its first assessor. Then too, he served on the Village Council for a number of terms, and at all times helped with the progress of the village. He was well liked by his employees and those who had the pleasure of meeting him, and during his entire life was industrious. In passing Owen has lost a valuable citizen.

Mr. Bolman was a member of a number of organizations, and was instrumental in the organization of the Masonic Lodge in this city. Other organizations of which he was a member are: Maccabees, Woodmen and Yeoman Lodges, he joining these orders as the charters were granted here. Besides being a member of lodges he also was a member of the Congregational Church. The Masonic Lodge of this city, of which he was a member, will have charge of the services of his funeral.

Those who are left to mourn are his wife and one son, Irvine, who makes his home with them, and three sisters, Mrs. J. C. Kerns and Mrs. Eva Stannard, both of Garden Grove, Calif., and Mrs. Luella Vietch of Glendale, Calif.

Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the home, Rev. W. P. Powell of the First Congregational Church officiating, and interment will take place in the Riverside Cemetery.
