Brandt, Ida (Marriage - 17 Sep 1925)
A pretty church wedding was solemnized last Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock, Sept. 17, 1925, at St. John's Lutheran Church at Withee, Clark County, Wis., when Miss Ida Brandt, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. August Brandt of Withee and Mr. Emil W. Niemi, son of Mr. and Mrs. B. Niemi, of the town of Beaver, Clark County, were united in the holy bonds of matrimony by the rev. Groh of Withee.
The bride wore a beautiful crepe de chine pencil blue dress, carrying a large bouquet of pink and white roses, and the maid of honor, Miss Martha Brandt, sister of the bride, wore a pencil blue dress of crepe de chine, carrying a bouquet of pin and white astors. In entering the church the young couple was followed by the witnesses. Mrs. L. F. Herzberg of Owen played the wedding march, "The Bride of the Wind." After the ceremony the choir girls of the Owen Church sang the wedding hymn, "Lift Your Heart to Jesus."
Following the ceremony all departed to the home of the bride's parents, where refreshments were served. At 5:30 o'clock a bountiful wedding dinner was served to about one hundred and sixty guests. The home was prettily decorated in blue and white. That evening a free wedding dance was given in the Riplinger hall, which was attended by all their friends.
Many beautiful gifts were received by the young people, and all join in wishing them a long and happy wedded life. Mr. and Mrs. Niemi will reside in the town of Beaver, where the groom has a fine large farm.
