Miss Daisy Swanson, who has for several months been working in Chicago, has taken a position as stenographer in Marsh & Tucker’s office.
Last week Nate Anderson sold a herd of ten calves to D. B. Manes. The animals or Holstein-Durhams, bred and raised on Nate’s farm, and are fine specimens of the breed.
Mrs. W. E. Lacey has been quite seriously ill the past week and is under care of Dr. Conroy, of Neillsville with Miss Theo. Bradner of Fairchild, as nurse. - Merrillan Leader
D. V. Richardson has brought suit through his attorneys Marsh & Tucker against George Meacham for $2,000 damage for libel. The plaintiff is postmaster at Loyal and publisher of the Tribune. The defendant is the publisher of the Clark County Chronicle. Last April Meacham wrote and published an article attacking Richardson and charging him with having withheld and opened mail matter addressed to the Chronicle.
