Bessie N. (Dutcher) Englebretson DORCHESTER- Mrs. Melvin (Bessie N.) Englebretson, 82, Dorchester, died at 10:40 p.m. Sunday (19 May 1986) at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield, where she was admitted Tuesday.

Services will be at 2 p.m., Wednesday at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Longwood. The Rev. Richard Sorenson will officiate. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.

Visitation will be after 4 p.m. Tuesday at Maurina Funeral Home, Owen.

The former Bessie Dutcher was born Oct. 17, 1903, in Melrose, a daughter of Grant and Hattie (Goodall) Dutcher.

She married Melvin Englebretson June 12, 1922. They farmed in the town of Beaver from 1936-1967, retiring, residing on the farm the past two years. They lived in the town of Mayville, rural Dorchester.

She was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Longwood.

She is survived by her husband, two daughters, Mrs. Earl (Doris) Stafford, Dorchester, and Mrs. Paul (Lucille) Kramas, Greenwood, one brother, James Dutcher, Phoenix, Arizona, three sisters, Ruth Kaufman, LaCrosse, Norma Gilbert, LaCrosse, Clara Dutcher, Van Nuys, California, four grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her parents and seven brothers.
