Combs, Essie (Marriage - 6 OCT 1927)

Ray Slock and Essie Combs, both residents of the town of Hixon, Clark County, Wis., were united in marriage Thursday afternoon, Oct. 6, 1927, at the Congregational Parsonage, Rev. W. P. Powell reading the ceremony. The groom was attended by August Slock, a brother, and the bride by Miss Madelin Marten, a near friends. The bride has been employed at the Woodland Hotel for some time as a waitress. The young couple left immediately following the ceremony for a short wedding trip in the northern part of the state, and on their return will be at home to their friends on the groom's farm. There many friends wish for them a happy voyage in their married life.
