Bridgman, Marion Bachhuber (1913- Dec 13, 2002)
Marion Bachhuber Bridgman, 89, died Dec 13, 2002 in Fort Myers, Fla. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Richard, and is survived by a son, Richard (Priscilla) and daughters Judy (Bill) Rummler, Betsy Bridgman and Mary Bridgman; four grandsons; and one great-grandson. Mrs. Bridgman grew up in Mayville and attended the University of Wisconsin at Madison. She moved to New York City in 1938, where she met her husband, who grew up in Stanley and was the son of Wilbur and Carolyn Bridgman. She lived in and around New York City for 25 years and in Louisville, KY. For 32 years before she retired to Fort Myers, Fl. In Louisville, Mrs. Bridgman taught high school English and speech at the Kentucky Home School for Girls and at the Kentucky Country Day. She was a member of the University of Wisconsin Alumni Association and the Sanibel Congregational Church in Sanibel, Fl.; she was an active volunteer with the Low Vision Group and at Shell Point Retirement Village. The family requests donations in her honor to be made to the Stanley Area Historical Society, 228 Helgerson St., Stanley, WI 54768.
