Stuner, Katherine Dec 15, 1921 - March 28, 2003

Katherine V. Stuner, 81, 600 Hickory St., Gilman, WI, former Jump River resident, died Friday, March 28, 2003 at Zastrow Care Center, Gilman, WI.

Katherine was born on December 15, 1921 in Hinsdale, IL the daughter of Charles and Katherine (Ingals) Trester. She grew up there and later united in marriage Victor Stuner on June 26, 1941 on their home farm in Jump River. They lived and farmed in the Jump River area all their married lives. Besides her love for her family, Katherine enjoyed crocheting, gardening and cooking and took great pleasure in walking.

She is survived by one daughter: Karen (Bill) Tuma of Ladysmith, WI; six sons: James and Brian (Terri) both of Gilman, Mark and Darrell (Pam) both of Sheldon, WI, Dale of Ladysmith and Calvin (Sheryl) of Thorp, WI plus six grandchildren and five great grandchildren and one sister Jean Johnson of Laveta, Colorado.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Victor in 1997; 1 son Allan; 2 sisters and 2 brothers. Funeral services were held Wednesday, April 2, 2003, 11:00 a.m. at New Hope Presbyterian Church in Hannibal, WI with Pastor Bradley E. Carloss officiating. Burial was in Mount Nebb Cemetery in Jump River, WI. The six sons served as pallbearers.
