Peters, Philomene A. May 8, 1916 - April 8, 2002

Philomene A. Peters, 85, of Chippewa Falls, formerly of Thorp and Stanley passed away at the Rutledge Home in Chippewa Falls. Philomene was born May 8, 1916 in Chippewa Falls to Emily (Gebhardt) and Albert Boehm. She grew up in Chippewa Falls and graduated from High School in Thorp.

Philomene married Anton C. Peters on June 15, 1946 in Thorp. They resided in Thorp where they farmed until moving to Stanley in 1970 for their retirement years. She had been a resident of the Rutledge Home since January 5, 2001.

Survivors include two sons: Donald (Catherine) Peters of Enfield, Conn. And Roger (Diane) Peters of Chippewa Falls; a step-daughter, Arlene (Don) Horton of Milwaukee; a sister, Mary (James) Field of Eau Claire, eight grandchildren, Sarah Peters of Albany, New York, Tamara Peters of Springfield, Mass., Rebecca and Debera Peters of Enfield, Conn., Kevin (Debra) Lund of Danville, Iowa, Koey (Doug) Boerschel of Fairfax, Iowa, Jiani Peters of Ferriday, LA.; great granddaughter, Jasmine Peters of Enfield, Conn.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Anton, on Oct 22, 2001; a daughter Judith Lund; a brother Bernard Boehm. A funeral service was held on April 10 at St. Olaf Catholic Church in Eau Claire, with Rev. Frank Corradi celcbrating the Mass of Christian Burial. Burial was in Forst Hill Cemetery in Chippewa Falls.
