Moody, Ellen (22 JUN 1850 - 23 May 1929)

For more than forty years a resident of this vicinity, Mrs. Ellen Moody died on Thursday evening, shortly after nine o'clock at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Edmond E. Nielsen of Withee, Clark County, Wis., at whose place she has made her home for the past two years. Mrs. Moody, during the greater part of her residence here, made her home in the town of Longwood, Clark County, just south of the village limits, and following the death of her husband, moved to Withee, where she has since resided.

She was seventy-eight years of age, and it was only in the past few months that her health had begun to decline, and she succumbed to cancer. She was not confined to her bed long, and seemed to suffer but little pain, but was up and around her room and always in good spirits. Her husband preceded her in death about nineteen years ago.

Funeral services were conducted Sunday afternoon from the home of Mr. and Mrs. Edmond E. Nielsen, the Rev. Walter Taylor, pastor of the M. E. Church of Withee, officiating, and burial was made in the lot beside the body of her husband in Riverside Cemetery.
