Torgerson, Theodore (1 Dec 1904 - 9 Sep 1929)
Theodore Torgerson was born in Botteneau, N. D., on Dec. 1, 1904, and passed away Sept. 9, 1929, at the age of 24 years, 9 months and 9 days. He spent the last few years of his young life near Owen, Clark County, Wis., where he was well known and had many friends. Mr. Torgerson left early last spring to be employed on the fatal ship, The Andraste, being one of the crew of 28 that was on the ship when struck by the severe storm on Sept. 9, 1929. The ship was destroyed and Mr. Torgerson, with the rest of the crew, lost their lives.
He leaves to mourn, his aged father of Clear Lake, Wis.; his mother, 1 brother, and 1 sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. James Millikin, all of Owen, besides many friends and relatives.
The funeral was held from the Congregational Church on Monday, Sept. 23 at 2 p.m., Rev. Powell officiating, and burial was made in Riverside Cemetery.
