The Withee Public Library has just hired a new librarian, and she just recently
assumed her new duties. She is Gina Mueller, the wife of Father Tom Mueller of
Holy Assumption Orthodox Church in Lublin. She is the mother of two boys,
Elijah, age 8, and Savva, Age 3 ½.
Mrs. Mueller is a graduate of the University of New Brunswick, Canada and holds
a BA Degree, and also a post graduate degree in Library Science from the
University of Toronto. She has worked as a children’s librarian at the Ottawa
New School, Ottawa, and the Milwaukee Public Library, and also as library
assistant in regional libraries in Sudbury, Ontario, Canada and in Western New
York State.
Mrs. Mueller hopes that many people will come and use the library. Although it
is small, there are many books for children and adults, and she will be buying
more soon.
The new library hours will be on Tuesday from 2:00 till 4:00, and Friday from
6:30 to 9:00.
Mrs. Mueller also intends to start a library story hour soon for three and four
year olds.
The present members of the library board which hired Mrs. Mueller are Ted Kafka,
Louis Olszewski and Mrs. Martin Keskimaki.
