Peter Rueth, 71, of 501 N. Main St., Loyal, died at 8:15 a.m. Wednesday, June 26, 1974, at Marshfield Convalescent Home. He has been in ill health for some time.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., Friday, June 28, at St. Anthony's Catholic Church with burial in the Parish Cemetery. Rev. Norbert F. King officiated.

The Rinka Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Peter Rueth was born Dec. 14, 1902 at Loyal and received his education at St. Anthony school.

He was married on June 24, 1935 at Sacred Heart Church, Marshfield, to the former Selma Ploman, who survives him.

He was a farmer and also worked for the Town of Loyal and Shober Construction Co. until he suffered a stroke in 1952.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Gerald [Gertrude] Kolb, Spencer, and Mrs. Jerry [Patricia] Kelty, Loyal, one sister, Miss Veronica Rueth, Whitewater, and seven grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.

Pall bearers were Patrick Rueth, Franklin Rueth, Leonard Rueth, Fred Ploman, Max Langfeldt, and Edward Rueth.
