ALICE K. HAAS IS BRIDE FRIDAY
Graduate Nurse Wed to C. Strohkirch
Miss Alice Kathryn Haas, graduate nurse of St. Joseph's School of Nursing, Marshfield, became the bride of Clarence Strohkirch, son of Mr. and Mrs. E. H. Strohkirch, Withee, at a ceremony performed at 3 o'clock Friday afternoon in the parsonage of the Thorp Methodist Church. The Rev. James Irish read the nuptial service.
Mrs. Kenneth Mathewson, a friend of the bride, and Leland Haas, the brie's brother, were the couple's only attendants.
The bride, who is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. S. Haas, Withee, wore a brown wuit with matching accessories. Her attendant was attired in a dress of blue crepe.
At 5 o'clock luncheon was served at the Stanley Hotel in the evening. Saturday evening a miscellaneous shower was held at the home of the bride's parents, with about 30 guests present.
After Dec.1, Mr. and Mrs. Strohkirch will be at home to friends at Owen. The bridegroom is employed as a Clark County Highway worker.
Mrs. Strohkirch, a graduate of the Withee High School, spent three years as a nurse at Holy Cross Hospital in Merrill and one year at Memorial Hospital, Wausau.
A tea and kitchen shower had been given in honor of the bride in Merrill before her marriage.
